CTLA Shuttle Service – Trial

CTLA have just commenced a trial Monday to Friday shuttle bus service between Newhaven/Peacehaven/Telscombe/Telscombe Cliffs (not Seaford or East Saltdean) and the Lewes Victoria Hospital, which will operate for 12 weeks from Monday 26th November.

The bus is available to pick up pre-booked passengers from the above area after 1330 and until 1400 and will then travel direct to the Lewes Victoria Hospital (no other destinations), as the bus must arrive at the hospital and drop off no later than 1430 as it will then go on to operate a school run. The return journey will call at Lewes Victoria Hospital at 1600 hours and will collect pre-booked passengers who are waiting and then depart promptly to drop off in the coastal area with a 1700 hours clock off time for the driver at The Hillcrest Centre.

No ad hoc passengers are permitted to board due to licensing restrictions. The cost is £10 Single Fare for each leg – no return fares will be issued. Because the bus has commitments around this daily run, CTLA staff will explain to passengers at the time of booking that if they are not at the agreed pick up point at the agreed time the bus cannot wait for them but will depart on time, and this is why they are not collecting return fares on the outward trip. If clients are delayed at the hospital and miss their pre-booked return trip they will be responsible for making their own arrangements home.

Please contact CTLA direct if you have any queries – telephone 01273 517332 , or via website, www.ctla.org.uk
