Santa Returns!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!

Dear Supporters of CTLA Community Transport,

You have been subscribed to this occasional newsletter because you are either a previous supporter of a CTLA Campaign or are a member of our services. We hope you find our updates interesting and informative.

In 2016, after a gap of twelve years since the Rotary Club sleigh was sadly retired, CTLA brought back Santa and friends to Newhaven, Denton and South Heighton with enormous success. Hundreds of happy children and their families had the opportunity to meet Father Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph and many more character performers.

Due to enormous demand we are including PEACEHAVEN and TELSCOMBE CLIFFS as well this year, with a finale at the Gateway Cafe, The Big Park, Peacehaven on the 22nd December.

Routes and times will be published next week but here are the dates for your diaries:
7th December, Newhaven
8th December, Denton (finishing at the Flying Fish)
14th December, Peacehaven
15th December, Newhaven (visiting Wonkaz Candy)
19th December, South Heighton (finishing at the Hampden Arms)
21st December, Telscombe (finishing at the Telscombe Tavern)
22nd December, Peacehaven (finishing at the Gateway Cafe)

We will be collecting on the routes to support the isolation and loneliness busting work of CTLA Community Transport – so look out for more Santa news shortly!

Home Alone at Christmas?

Christmas Day can often be difficult for people who are isolated within our communities but there is a fantastic offer for people who will be alone at Christmas or those with dementia and their carers in and around Lewes.  The new Lewes community cinema – The Depot – is offering a free  3 course Christmas lunch and film on Christmas Day.  Arrive at 12 noon for lunch.  The film to be shown at 2 pm will be ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.  Departure at 4.30 pm.

As a new build facility accessibility has been built in so all areas of The Depot are wheelchair accessible (including accessible WCs) and there are induction loops for people who have hearing impairments.
